I have a MF 135 with the perkins diesel and yesterday I went to lower the 3pt hitch and it will not go down. I am thinking that a valve got stuck and is not allowing it to drop, or the pump has quit maybe. Sorry guys but I have Olivers and I dont really know much about this massy, but I am hoping you guys can help. Where is the valve that controls the 3pt and how can I tell if it is working. Is there any good way to test the pump to see if it has the pressure it should. The only hydraulics this tractor has it the 3pt, no power steering, or remotes, or anything like that.

Thanks in advance

Worked on the tractor this morning and got it fixed. I think the stops on the draft control and the pickup were too far back and allowed the pump to run agenst the valve and the valve got stuck in the up position. Opened up the access panel and pried the lever with the roller back and it came off in my hand, so I had to drain the rear and take the top off to put the lever and roller back in place. It all works now, thanks guys for all the help.

the mf-35 has a round plate on the right side behind the brake peddles pull this plate off, there is two levers coming down from top cover, down in the oil there is a bracket with a roler in it one of the levers has most likley slipped over the roler, the roller should be in the center of the levers.I had this happen the second time befoure I figured out the top lift stop was too high in it's slot. I'm not sure but I think the 135 is on the same basic. if I can help, let me know.

Try moving your response control. It's down by your right foot and mine likes to find it's way to the slow peg. I don't know if I'm kicking it over there or if it migrates on its own but the 3-pt will opperate real slow.

Shep: Email your question to 'Big Dean'. He's a retired MF tractor mechanic (25 years). Has a really good web site also. He has answered nearly all my questions on my MF 35. If he can't help you we are all in trouble. Good Luck.
