I have a 49' with nothing but a PTO sticking out the back, it weighs a little under 4000/lbs with pressed steel and 13.6X38's. I'm redoing the motor now, fairly expensive to do, $180 main bearings,$22 per rod bearing, $100 gasket set, ect. I gave $400 for mine Not running(needed a battery, little work) Hope I helped RW

Hey, that's cheap, it's only 20 cents per pound ... you can't go wrong for that, especially if the rubber and the rims are decent.

Nebraska test results for a 1953 MH 44 Special show a weight of 5789 pounds. The quality of the engine rebuild will affect the cost of keeping it running, as will tire condition, etc. If you really want the tractor, the price is probably OK-- around a thousand dollars, I don't think that market conditions are the determining factor in the price.
