I was wondering if anybody had a picture of a gray Ferguson Pony in original or near-original condition. We are currently restoring one, but since they seem to be rare, we are unsure of the correct placement of decals and other details. There are several pictures of red Ponies on the internet, but I cannot find a picture of a gray Pony.

We've completed restoration of our 1954 Pony, as you can see in the picture. Thanks to those who provided info on the history of this tractor.

Maybe it's too late to help now - but for what it's worth - I spent many hundreds of hours on a grey Pony as a kid and it did not have a Ferguson decal on it anywhere. It did have the small blue Pony decals as shown in the picture.

This is a picture of my "Gray" Pony. I think the decals are correct except for the FERGUSON on the side of the hood. This decal came with the decal package I bought and I thought it looked on the hood.

The gray Pony we have had been painted by a previous owner. After sanding, we haven't seen any evidence of "Ferguson" decals on the side (or "Massey-Harris" decals either). However, we did find that it had the blue "Pony" decals like yours.

I have seen an article and discussion board postings that claim these Ponies were sold at Ferguson dealerships. And obviously they were painted gray, like Fergusons. But did they actually carry the Ferguson name? Maybe not.

I have a sales brochure on the Gray Pony. I will let you know later this week what it says. The brochure is in another location or I would send it right now.

Is your Pony a Ferguson or Massey Harris Ferguson. I have two Ponys with a MHF tag. One is gray and the other is red with some gray under the red.

This tractor was originally gray and the tag says Massey-Harris-Ferguson. My understanding is that the gray ones were sold as Fergusons through Ferguson dealers. I just ordered a set of decals for a gray Pony. Two of the decals say "Ferguson" (presumably one for each side) and there is one decal that has the Massey-Harris logo.

I guess the short answer to your question is "yes" - it was a tractor built by the Massey-Harris-Ferguson company and sold as a Ferguson.
