M-H 444 parts interchange with 44 Special ?

Can anybody tell me if the front "tub" and pedestal off of a 444 will fit on a 44 Special. By "tub" I mean frame rail casting that supports the engine. Will this complete unit align up with no problems ?

With a shoehorn,some shims and a prayer, by chance.The Triple U-frame had a thicker mount plate, thus the stock studs in the Special
transmission case were not long enough. Next, the input shaft flange seem a tad off on alignment:add a few engine mount shims. The
flange bolts seemed to act as a wheel puller on
the two flange shafts. Perhaps adequate for the
parade display, but under load, questionable. The tension seems a mismatch. Let me know what
you see as the gain. Good luck.
