I have to lock the brakes to park the tractor,is this normal,it is diesel with multi power which all seems to work fine , sure would appreciate any information you can give me. Thanks in advance

The trans. should hold if Multi-Power is shifted into high range before shuting the tractor off.

That's normal with a Multipower,as you probably know, there is no engine-braking in low range,it has to do with how the freewheeling mechanism works, big dean's website explains it real good, when you shut the tractor off, just put it in reverse when it is facing downhill,or in first when facing uphill.Thats what I do with my MF50

Thats normal for the multi power trans. You will have to lock the brakes when the engine is not running. Also you cannot tow the multi power tractors to start them.
