I looked at a Ferguson 35 tractor for sale. It was red and gray and the serial number is: FE35 5HF 173140. I think it's a 1960, is this right? Is it a Harry Ferguson or Massey Ferguson? What's the difference? What should I look for as far as trouble spots when buying one? Thanks.

Danny, The 173140 was built in 1960 according to in fo at this site. Check it out it is very useful and had a quick ref guide to print out and carry in your truck.

Vic... I can't get the web address to come up for the serial numbers. Is it right or do I need to use another search engine?
