I own a TO-35 that was converted from propane to gas. It will run fine for about 10 sec. then start choking. I have replaced the points, condenser, rotor ect. I have put a kit in the Zenith carb that is on it, but nothing works. I am ready to replace the carb with an original Manvel-Shreiber. Any other guesses as to what might be wrong. Should I go ahead with replacing the carb.? Thanks.

I doubt that you need to change the Zenith carb. You may have one of the passages blocked and therefore should dismantle it again. Possible the gasket is blocking a passage. I'm not at all familiar with the Zenith since my TO-35 has a Marvel-Shreiber(sp?). I like it since it is so simple and forgiving if you have the mixtures off a little. I would also suggest that you chech the little filter disks in tank sediment bowl. Mine were plugged solid after 10+ year of dry storage. Also there is a filter in the carborator inlet on my M-S. It was also plugged with dried up gas gunk. If you don't have a air nozzle to blow out the carb passages try using the WD-40 with the little plastic straw. Does a good job.

Thanks. I replaced the carb and replaced the manifold. I think when it warmed up there was an air leak that happened when the metal heated. After all that and much frustration the tractor is running again.
