I am thinking about buying a 1956 444 Massey-Harris that is wide wheeled, has a 3 point hitch, is a factory propane, and is pretty clean. How many of these were made and what would it be worth? Is this a good tractor or were there any problems that owners had with them in general? I don't know much about Masseys because they are not very numerous where I live. Could anyone tell me something about this tractor? I would appreciate anyone's help.

Don, Lots of people looking at tractors by price,
perhaps they get a bargin or tired iron. If
you want to check a dozen or more items on
this tractor, let me know. I will answer your
e mail, as serious, with check points, for
red flag issues on a Triple 4. Good Luck!

Hi,
I have a Massey Harris 56' 444 lp model and I think it's a great tractor. It is in fact TOO MUCH TRACTOR for my acreage, and I will probably put it up for sale soon to get a smaller tractor.
The only problem I have had with it was the ignition switch went bad.

e-mail me [email protected] and I'll give you some more information.
Dennis
