I own a MH 744D which I understand is the same as the 44 except for the engine. The steering arm is very loose on the spline that comes out of the steering box. I installed a new bolt but it is still able to slide up and down the spline when I push and pull on the arm. Can anyone make any suggestions on how to stop this from happening. There is nothing on the actual arm in my manual that I have, just the steering box itself. Any help would be appreciated.

I have 2 44's but off hand I forget the steering set-up but I will check for you. Do you know what engine is run in the 744 as far as brand and cubic inch and where I could find a tractor like that?
