RE: T0-35
I've installed a new power steering pump, rebuilt
the steering housing components and bled the
system per manual and still there's no power
assist. Any thoughts or suggestions would be very
welcome.
Roger

PUT 72 CHEVY POWER STEERING PUMP & GEAR BOX ON 62 CHEVY 1/2 TN 2 WHEEL DRIVE. WORKS GREAT, BUT WHEN I PUT IT UP TO THE STOPS IT WONT STOP SQUEALING.
ALL COMPONENTS REBUILT. IS THERE ANY ADJUSTMENTS THAT I CAN MAKE?

IF it has a cesna pump, it has a filter inside the back pump housing, They plug up! Let us know how it turns out; Mike

Thanks for the feedback, Mike.
The pump is a Barnes, right out of the box.
As of yesterday, I know the pump is working: With
the engine running, I removed the reservoir cover
bolt and the oil shot out like a geyser! Another
definition of oil bath...

is it possible that the return and pressure lines got mixed up when reinstalling pump? I believe the fittings were the same size on mine.

Gary;
Thanks for the suggestion. I have verified that
the hoses are in the right place: the steering
housing has "PR" and "RT" stamped at the connector
locations and as long as the illustrations and
photos are correct in the MF manual and I&T
manual, I've got it right. Additionally, the
hoses are either original or OEM replacements and
their lengths and bends suggest they go only one
way. I'm considering dissambly once again to see
if the steering shaft nut (the one that pre-loads
the thrust bearing) is too tight, as someone had
suggested. Any other thoughts or comments are
certainly welcomed.
