While on a canoe trip in Northern Ontario, my wife and I came across an abandon logging operation that include an original 8 - 12 seater Bombadier snowmobile shell, a truck equiped with half tracks, remains of a small dozer, and a rusty Massey harris tractor (front end style, and engine cover) I remember from growing up on a farm. The tractor is of the 1950s vintage, the four cylinder engine has fuel injectors. I will be returning to the area this spring, and what do I look for on this machine to date it ? Serial Numbers for engine, tractor -where do I find them ? Other information one would look for ?
Thank you in advance

The serial number plate is on the left side of the tractor where the front frame connects to the rear end. Look at the pictures on this site to help you out. If it had fuel injectors, it would be a 33, 44, 44sp, 55, 333, 444, 555. The year of the tractor is cast under the frame towards the back. (right behind the oil pan) Hope this helps.
