I looked at a MF135 today with 1240 hours on it. It is a 1968 and it runs and sounds very good. PTO seal recently replace, right rear axle seal replaced also. Rubber is good to fair and everything in the hydraulic, transmission and pto seem to be fine. Brakes are also good. The tractor has had two owners, father and son and is in the hands of a dealer (who gave me the ownership information). I drove it and it seems fine. The dealer says it is not an MF135 but an MF2135 which is an industrial version of the 135. It has power steering which I like and a reversable PTO which I also like. There is a lever on the steering wheel which transfers the drive from forward to reverse in what ever gear you are in at the time and is also used to reverse the PTO. It has working gauges for all functions. The dealer wants $4950 for it. Oh by the way it has been detailed and repainted. I think it is a good buy. Do you guys think I'm right? Man am I lusting for this machine.

My guess is that by now you have gone and bought this machine. Don't look back, based on what you say the shape is, it is a fair price. I recently bought a regular 135 for $3,500 that needed some attention. By the time I did what was necessary I had about $4,850 in it, and I still need the paint job. I enjoyed the experiance and the tractor will give me many years of service & pleasure. Enjoy your machine

Sounds like a good buy to me. 135s go for around $6000, in our part of the country.

I recently purchased a MF-2135 Turf Special, yellow in color, wide rear wheels, tires, 4 cyl gas motor, hi-lo, PTO, 3 pt., it seems in good shape, but has 5500 hrs, doesn't have the rev PTO, also has a generator, which I understand meaans it is pre 1968. I ordered an operators manual thru Yesterdays Tractors, haven't got it yet. I paid $3200.00 for it, (came w/ a 5 ft Howse mower), from a private party in so. Oregon. Wouldn't mind a contact with party with same basic machine, my e-mail is [email protected], good luck wi

The owner of the tractor I refer to in the original post claims this tractor is a MF2135 but it has Ag tires and is painter grey and red just like my MF50.
