Oil filter adapter for 65 Massey... Big Dean?

I read on Big Dean's Massey page that an adapter is available to convert from a cartridge type oil filter to a spin-on type for my 65 Massey. I looked for this adapter on the parts link here on the YT page, but cannot find it. Does anyone know where I can find it? Thanx!

looks like you should find a better dealer.that's the trouble with the so called parts man.the good old ones are gone and now we have kids looking at computers and don't learn any thing about the things the dealer sells .they don't have a clue what a old parts book is. just my opinion

If you haven't found it thru big dean, ask the dealer for 741 922M1 or perkins 37764251.

They're about $20 US aftermarket here in Canada, so if the dealer has it for $16, it's one of the few bargains in the MF system.

It isn't a replacement kit - just the head for the filter fitted to the later engines. Same gasket and mounting holes, perhaps different length bolts.

The regular MF spin-on filter is 5 9/16 long, 3 1/8 dia, 3/4 x 16 thread. Wix 51460, AC PF50.

We use a shorter filter 5" long, half the cost - fits VW gas cars. AC PF56, Wix 51318.

Do you know if Oil Filter Adapter will fit the
MF-165 D w/perkins engine AD4.2xx???? The
"minimopar" wedsite is closed until Mar.01????

My Massey dealer hasn't a clue. He said that hes never seen an adapter kit for it, and then spent a half hour looking for replacement parts for the original cartridge filter assembly only to find that they are no longer available. Anyone know an online site?

I found one on this site in the parts section look up 741922M1.
the price was around 11 bucks.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that my 65 was a gas model. Looks like the 741922M1 part number is for a Perkins deisel.
