Thinking about changing to Perm-a-tran 3 in my MF 35 as recommended by Big Dean. Has anyone done it and if so, did you flush with anything before refilling? What do you guys think? Thanks!

Joe,
When I started restoration of my MF-85, I checked with a couple of old time MF mechanics. The MF shop manuel said "use a good quality mineral based oil". The mechanics said "don't do it". It seems mineral based oil ruined many rear ends before the problem was eliminated by swithing to permatran. One more thing, Big Dean is one of those old time mechanics. If he recommends it, its because of practical experience. Just my thoughts. Mike
