I have a MF 165 dis. and about 45 more acres to seed for hay this spring. I am looking at new discs but I am not sure how large to go. I have a small 10' now but it's to small. Any suggestions.
Thanks

I would think a 10foot disc is about all you'd want a 165 to pull.it'll probably do 12ft,but you'd have to gear down, and be no further ahead.besides, you might bust something on the tractor working it to hard.i'd keep the 10ft disc and allow myself some extra time to finish the field!

10 ft is a good match for the 165. will handle it easley and good speed. put more behind it and you will be slower with some traction problem on plowed ground. Those 28" wheels preformed with larger tractors plowing with a mounted plow but on worked ground there was a diference.
