I am restoring a Ferguson F40. I am getting conflicting information on the color scheme of this tractor.I have been told that the chassis of the F40's were grey. I have also been told that the chassis color was green. Also i have been told that they were a bronze color. My tractor appears to have been grey but since it was repainted red and grey the original colors are hard to determine. Is it possible that everyone is correct and the F40 was painted a variety of colors?

I found the site for you which gives details of the paint scheme history and indicates which modern color codes you need to match the paint on the f40: www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Downs/9828/hf_02e.htm

Have a look at www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Downs/9828/f40dl.jpg for a picture of David Lory's very nicely restored f40, showing the conventional colouring of the production model. The early experimental models had green and bronze on them, thus accounting for the controversy. A good tractor.

No, the MF 202 I have found out is a 35hp gas tractor, similar to the MF 35 I think. It was painted yellow, an Industrial type of tractor. Thanks to all the people who sent me offers of help.
