I emailed you on this after you emailed me with your photo. Haven't heard back but since seeing your post in the forum, it sounds like your uncle definitely has a 101 Junior. I have the Massey book that you sent the photo from and that is indeed a 101 Super with a 6 cylinder motor and both 101 and 102 Juniors had the 4 cylinder motors. Meanwhile, if you do in fact have a 101 Junior, I have been told that there are 2 versions of the grille and sidecovers. Early ones had a super-cheapo metal strap and wire mesh grille with a plainer style sidecover. Later they had a pressed metal louvered grille (I've been told) with a more styled arching curve sidecover and an extra panel below the tank cover. I've never seen a 101 Jr with this but apparently they did change at some time. It would look I suppose like the 102 Junior in that same Massey book that you have. The early style grille is quite easy to make and I could at least send you some measurements. I made one and another 101 Jr I've got has the original grille. It's doubtful that you'd find the early style in any type of condition that would be worthwhile restoring since they were so tinny, particularly the horizontal strap bars and the wire mesh. Also, this Super 101 Std. is still sitting near my place with a grille in it as I mentioned in my email.
