Amen Vic S
Probably even take a drink of it if running that tractor makes you constipated. Don't know about the foaming in that case though. Fred from the Mung Factory

You should be using a 90w mineral gear oil. This is not 90w hypoid gear oil from an auto store. It is non foaming and is the proper oil made for Ferguson, Ford, up to around 1963 tractors. Many dealers sell 2.5 gallons for $30. I contacted an oil distribution company here in town and they had some. This guy said this is why they carry this oil. I paid $14.90 for 5 gallons. Bought two 5 gallon buckets. Penzoil also makes some but the place I talked to sells it from his 50 gallon drum. This dealer rebuilds the old MFs all the time. I have had 3 places tell me to use this and that is why I researched it. Also it is what MF recommends. Regular gear oil will foam and cause problems. Transmission fluid is not right. Hydraulic fluid is not right either in the older tractors. Call your large oil suppliers. If you live near Louisville Ky email me and Ill tell you where to get it. Vic S.

Hi Mr D.

In my opinion automatic transmission oil is too light and contains detergent you risk deterioration and leaks in the power train.

Your pony survives 53 years with 90 oil
it may survive another 53 years.

Good luck and have fun with your little one

Joe Ferguson
