Is there a plate on the instrument panel with a six digit number begining with five? If there is, what is the number?

I found serial numbers for 10 other types of model MF50. What is the number on the dash plate?

The serial number is SGM 507117. We'd also love to know the Horsepower if you run across it. Thanks Larry

A tractor with this serial number should be a Massey Harris 50. Made in 1956 during the Massey- Harris-Ferguson merger period. First MF 50 made in made in 1958 beginning with number 515708. Massey Harris 50's had a 134 cu in. 32hp Continental gas engine.

Hello there,

There are 2 completely different types of the MF 50, the oldest one is a farm tractor between the MF 35 and MF 65, and the other type is an industrial tractor more in the size of a MF 165 or MF 175. Often with a strong frame around, and loader and backhoe.

This is why there are so many different manuals for them.

If you have the MF 50 industrial version I can help you a bit, as I have one myself.
