I am looking at a 1954 MH 44 diesel for a restoration project to use my hobby farm. It is a narrow front, rowcrop diesel, with cast rear wheels, adjustable rear tread, and factory three point hitch.

The farmer said it has been on his farm since new. and has about 1500 hours on a complete overhaul. It starts and runs great and the sheetmetal, and paint job is in good shape. the tires are also good. What is a fair price for this tractor?

I am also interested in whether the top link of the three point can be changed so it can be used with a mounted bushog. The top link is an oval contraption designed so the pto can stick through it. It dosent looklike it will work with my bushog. Can the top link be raised so it will not hit the pto? If anyone has one of these tractors how do you hook a three point bushog to it?

Hello Joe
About 2 years ago, I bought a 44drc for $1500.
no 3pt, but did have wide front. I have a 44 gas with the same 3pt,(pto is over third link) I recommend a pull type brush hog. also be careful of this setup with a rear blade. you can raise the blade to much, and bend the third link on the pto shaft.
