We're having trouble getting enough (any) grip on snow/ice with our MF35. There's a front loaded with bucket, and we've been using it with a scraper blade on the 3-point. The tyres are std agri, fairly well worn.

Whats the best way to get some grip? Chains? More weight on the back?

I'd go with some chains - it's amazing how much they help. Also, if you rear tires aren't "loaded" (filled with calcium chloride and water) that's something to take a look at.

I do both on my 8N with a rear blade only and it makes a nice snow moving machine in the winter.

Where's a good place to buy chains? I have the CT catalog and there's a Les Schwab tire dealer nearby.
