Kenny: Sorry to take so long but I was dealt a foul blow by Mister Flu. I'm bad enough at this without seeing four monitors and eight keyboards. The M-H Juniors were all 4 cylinder. Uprated over the years from a 124 to a 140 to a 162 and that became the 30. Your Senior has the 226 6 cylinder and that became the 44-6. The early Junior had the side openings on the hood run nearly parallel to the frame all the way back roughly 15 inches above the frame. In 1942 this was change to the parabolic or arched side opening. Styling? Function? Dunno. Stay in touch. Tom

Hay, thats some good info, I didnt know that. I wondered why the 44 and the 101 were so much alike. Ive got a 44, and know Kennys 101, got a new short block engine for a 101 SR.
