I have a really nice TO-20 which I use to mow the grass and just about everything else. I like the weight and size for its mission. What I have been lamenting trying to put on a set of medium sized arms and bucket that I picked up. Is there anyone out there who has done this with success and found it worth the hassles / expense? If so I need the source for a front or side belt driven pump (better as disengageable, save all the little power you have when not in use), to fit this. Someone in a very old post mentioned getting one from BERDENS SURPLUS but did not elaborate on the model. The other sticking point is the mounting of the front lower support. A friend has a FREEMAN which is simply sitting on a piece of flat steel bolted through the single large hole under the center. I have a piece of 1/2 x 4" plate which seems better to sit all that weight on which would weld to a pair of 2x4 box qhich would make up the lower frame and uprights but still I wonder if its worth it even though I have all the steel ect. My preference would be a MF35 but they are rare as hens-teeth in Northern NY, rarer in good shape and rarer still with a loader and the prices are insane and I would still likely be fabricating a loader frame ect. Any wisdom from someone who has sucessfully done this would be very helpful.
