I am looking for a source to supply me with a new or used steering section for my MF 235. I have also been told that a 135 unit will fit. Is this true?

Have you tried CT (888-8CT-FARM) or any of the used equipment parts places such as Audubon Tractor parts 800-831-5730?

CT wants $1089.99 for MF-235 PS Assembly 1876902M95.

Vanderloop Equipment 800-468-5009 claims to specialize in MF like MAC tractor parts 800-882-4742.

Hanson tractor parts says they have MF 800-662-6875 as does Gulf South Equipment Sales 800-462-8118 and Eisenmann Supplies, Inc 800-685-7580.

I have a MF-135 parts book. Do you have a MF part numver for the assembly that I could check to see if it matches? I know the front axles are the same from 135 to 2235. CT shows the 235 uses right and left cylinders. The MF-135 uses a single cylinder on the steering box. The difference between power and manual is that cylinder which connects through a rack to the top steering gear and a control valve that's on the steering column. Manual uses the same gear box and leaves out those two. E.g. power assist. With two cylinders maybe the 235 is pure power?

When I broke my PS cylinder MF wanted $475 for the cylinder, a simple 4x4" cylinder. A good machine shop rebuilt it for under $125 including a new piston and piston rod. Maybe your assembly is repairable far more reasonably that it can be replaced.
