Can anybody give me tips on how to start my TE20?.
I've recently restored it after several years of non-use. The housing for the hydraulic piston was
broken and I fixed it, but when I went to start it,
the engine was turning but that was all. I then tried to pull it, but the rear left was locked when
the clutch was released. Has anybody got any ideas on how to fix this and any tips on how to start
the engine?
Thanks,
Griff Jones

Couple of things.. First make sure you are pulling the tractor in the HIGHESt gear possible 3 or 4 this will make it easier for the wheels to turn the engine..
Second, If you can turn the engine over, Make sure you have:
Spark to all cylinders,
Correct Firing order,
Compression in all cylinders, Finally try taking the plugs out and squirting some oil or diesel oil mix into the cyilinders.NOT too much as this will just foul plugs, and make a mess... Just a few squirts to help seal the rings..
this will help seal the rings and bring it up to compression to start the first time.
Good luck....

ALSO make sure you have gas in the tank and that the fuel shutoff valve is NOT closed !
