I'm looking at this real clean tractor sitting in the weeds. I need one to use on my small horse farm. Before I go negotiating I'd like to know if it is a good prospect. Can I get parts & manuals? Is it a collectible? What might it be worth?

1955..... 11,607 produced. It's 201 cu. in. gas. 35.5 hp at the drawbar, 39.5 at the pto. They aren't real rare, but good tractors. You can readily get parts for the Continental engine, but other parts have to come from a bone yard. There are lots of Masseys up in Canada. I bought a 33 diesel that needed a head for $500, and it had decent tires. The hydraulic pump was gone. That was really cheap, I thought. I took off the tires, and sold in for $500, and got another $100 for the checked tires I took off my farmall M. I thought I was getting a great deal, but found out it was only a head gasket, not the head. The guy I sold it to got it running and baled hay with it that summer, so maybe he got the better deal.

You can get manuals from JennSales. Not the best quality, but manuals never the less.
