The MF 175 I am aquiring is a diesel...it's been mowing 25 acres in east Texas that I just bought.
I'm going to need to do some fence work and am wondering if there is a posthole auger that works on the 175.
Thanks for the info Bob S. The tractor is a 1974 and has been working on my father in law's pasture since new. I just heard from him via email but he wasn't at home to get me the serial #
But he asured me he has all the books that came with it....Thanks again...

The 175 is an outstanding tractor. Small enough to do such tasks as digging post holes but also big enough to pull a 10 ft bush hog or disk.

Mr. Lynch...A standard 3 pt. auger should work.
You can get several different diameters to fit
your needs. Any farm equipment store should have
them (Co-op, TSC, etc..) but I would try to find
one used. The 175's 3 pt is Cat. 2 standard. The
augers normally are Cat. I. Might need bushings to
reduce so the pins fit unless the links have been
changed. Same deal for mowers. Your father in law
probably already has them. Glad to help...Bob
