I just purchased a 1971 Massey 175. Anyone know where the power steering fill is? Sorry I am a true tractor "newbie".

I have a 68 175. Outstanding tractor. Big enough to pull a 10ft bush hog and disk. If you do a lot of field work would proably want somthing larger though.

I have used a MF 175 diesel (Perkins 236) for the
last 4 years mostly to mow my 10 acres in TN. It
is a bit big for the job but the nice thing is it
doesn't have to work hard to do the job. I am
using a Woods RM 90 finish mower (7 1/2'). There
is about 5000 hours on it and no smoke and leaks
only a bit of oil (not bad for 20 years!) and
never ever gave me a problem. All the parts are
available from your local MF dealer and they can
get you the Operators Manual too (I recommend you
get it). I have an I&T service manual which leaves
a bit to be desired (too general). Much more info
on the 100 series can be found at Big Dean's
Massey Page:

Great page and God bless him. You will have a
great tractor, good luck...Bob

Correction, 30 years! It is a 1972, I am ashamed
of my math. I bought it used and I have no idea if
it has ever been rebuilt....Bob
