My lift arms are jerky or nervous when lifting loaded or unloaded center link on or off even when they reach maxium height and stop they still jerk a little so i pull my master control spring out of my lift top and took out the slack by turning the clevis (only had a little) my question is how far to screw the outside adjusting nut in.The posistion i have it in now i can push the clevis in a little the back of the plunger is not against the overload stop but it is against the spring loaded pin that goes through the overload stop.Is this right or do i need to tighten the adjusting nut some more?I do not think this is going to solve my jerky problem but i want to rule it out before i go to something else.

If its like the rest of the ferguson system tractors, tighten it down until there is no play but no more than that! The way the system is configured, too tight will cause the same condition as too loose.
