Thinking about buying this tractor (I love them) MF35 with three cyl diesel, runs good, good metal, good electrical, good lights, radiator good, and fair rubber. Down side is poor rims, bad PTO clutch and brakes, 3 pt hitch is ok (holds well) but drops when tractor is shut off. Ser # is SNM212401. Fellow is asking 1750 for it. Would like to know: What year tractor built?, Horsepower?, and is this a good deal? It seems like it is..but I dont know a lot about tractors....would appreciate any help at all. Thanks in advance..Orlando

I agree with Bob, thats a good price for a diesel 35 in that condition. I paid $2800 for a 63 model that was probably in worse shape when I started (though I did get a Bush-Hog RO-720 roll-over box scrape with it)I split the tractor myself and had both clutches rebuilt at a local shop for $208.00 mine were oil soaked. If you are going to split her to fix the clutch I would suggest you change the rear crank seal, transmission shaft seal, pilot bearing and take a good look at the throwout bearing while your in there. The brakes may be oil soaked also (a common 35 problem)so you may have to replace axle seals. Check Big Deans web site if you are considering buying a Massey Ferguson he has a great "what to look for section". Good luck

Wow, take it before someone else does. This is my favorite tractor although I have never owned one. I have three TO35s and one MF135. The Perkins 3cyl A3-152 is rated at 35 horsepower. It looks like your tractor was built in early 1961. The PTO clutch is about a day long job if you have the parts. Count on about four hours to get it apart and 5 to get it back together. The brakes are no big deal either. I'd say "but it" Bob
