I have a MF 40 backhoe. The steering is effected by the light amount of weight on the front due to the backhoe on rear. Any ideas on how to add weight to front of tractor or loader.

All MF 40 Industrial Backhoes had wheel weights on the front wheels. They are located on the inner side of the wheel. Jack

Wheel weights? Fluid in front tires? Bar to hold front weights?

I had the reverse of your problem on my front loader. (MF-2135)

Answer - build a BHT (Big Heavy Thing)

You need some way to attach it to the front but 2/3 of a 55 gal. drum, filled with scrap steel and concrete, weighs about 750#. That's a cheap counterweight.
