I have a TO-30 and I have a problem with the transmission. There is a sherman hi low in it and I think that this is what is causing the problem
I need to remove this to inspect and I would like some advice on doing this. Do I absolutly have to split the tractor. I can get to it under the steering
columb. Thanks!

You will have to split the tractor apart at the clutch housing. You will need some good Allen wrenches ( like a socket) The sherman trans. is bad about coming loose where it attaches to the trans. If I remember right you must take the trans. apart from front to back to get to where they come loose from the trans. They also are bad about jumping out of gear when worn badly. You can take the sherman out and replace it with a standard input shaft.: I have a TO-30 and I have a problem with the : transmission.
