I am looking at a mf 135 with Z145 cont. gas engine with diff lock and power steering. The carb is leaking and there is a lot of valve clatter. Is this something i should be worried about. Is valve clatter normal in a Z145 gas.

The carb leak is probly a bad bowl gasket or a stuck needle. And for the valves they are usually fairly quiet. They are probly just out of adjustment. Readjust them and they should simmer down.

Is $5500 to much for a 1967 mf135 with ps diff lock and a z145 cont. gas?

Thanks for all the advice on the mf135. The dealer adjusted the valves that got rid of most of the valve clatter. He also installed a new genarator, a new amp gauge, and voltage reg, a new govenor, and a carb kit. I bought the tractor for 5200 it is still a little high but it is the best buy I could find in this part of Oklahoma. It will be delivered on 12-6-01. I will keep you informed on how it does. Thanks again for all your help.

Well I have used my mf135 for 3 weeks now and all I can say is that I am very happy with it. It works great, run`s good and looks good to. The tractor dealer that sold it to me was telling the truth about the tractor. I am looking forward to doing a lot of work with my MF135 over the next few years. Thanks again for all your help.
