Did M-H or any other company use the 382 engine in anything except the 55/555 tractors. Thanks for any help!

I had one in my Case model D terramatic drive track loader. It was a deisel. The military used a JD 403 in a Davey Permavane compresor I put one in my loader the only difference is the bore. The JD 382 in the Case loader runs a ballance shaft in the bottom. They turn more RPMs. My owners manual rates it at 100 HP. The 403 has the balancer too. I don't think the Massey tractors ran a ballancer. If you are looking a 403 just check some surplus yards. They will bolt right in. Jonathan (JJK tractor salvage)

where can a person find oil pump assy and gasket set for a major on one of those engines ? I have a case 1000c crawler dozer with a jd382 in it, but I dont have a balancer on it and my oil pump is mounted right on the frt main brg cap ....not on the lancaster balancer at the rear . I sure would be interested in finding someone who could help me out or point me in the right direction in finding parts or a complete 403 such as you stated . thanks...Wayne
