I have a MF135 diesel - changing to an alternator requires changing the key switch as you must be able to turn the power off - not expensive and generics are readily available. Use an alternator with an inbuilt regulator. - makes the wiring fairly easy. - Can't remember exactly what needs to be done - give us an email though if you have trouble and I will explain it in detail. Generic seats are available - spend the extra $50 and get the more comfortable one if you intend to use the tractor frequently. One thatyou can alter the suspension for your weight to give a soft ride.

Hi Donna,

I have the industrial 135, called a 2135.

I replaced my generator with an alternator and it's way cheaper (about $40), better (charges at lower RPM) and more reliable.

As for the seat... try one of the tractor parts links on the left column. They support this site and we can lend support by purchasing from them.
