I was out today doing my fall plowing with the MF 180 what a nice tractor to drive. MF sure had everything together when they designed the 180. I have a 3 point hitch MF 4 bottom plow, sure can turn a lot of ground. I raise about 10 acres of vegetables also have a MF 165, farmall h and farmall cub.

I think i've got a post below bragging about my 180, but I cant say enough good things about it. Dad bought it new in '73 and it has been the "BIG" tractor on our 80 acre farm ever since. I run a 3-16" Kverneland mounted plow in cornstalks or a 4-14" JD pull type in sod, just so nice to work it all day on 15gal of diesel.

I've got a few pics of it on WebPhotos.com, just click on the my tractors one (the one that shows my M Farmall)

Catch you later,

Steve NW WI

Thanks Steve,
Enjoyed looking at your pics. You seem to enjoy your work. It's good to be able to do that. The M must be your toy. Looks good. It was probably the "big" tractor on somebody's farm when it was younger. I grew up hearing Farmall C's, H's, and M's working on farms all around the community where we lived. I still love to hear that sound! When I was about 14 to 16 years old, I got to spend lots of time working a Farmall 460 diesel. Learned to love the sound of a diesel and haven't gotten over it yet. Now I make a living (sort of) by listening to the sound of metal-cutting in a machine shop. Just doesn't bring the same feeling as hearing a tractor work. Guess all the kid in me isn't gone yet. Oh well, time to get back at it.
