I have a #32 loader that I know fits a MH 35. One of the mounting requirements is the 4-bolt inspection cover for adjusting the pto clutch (a bracket bolts on there). Can anyone tell me which other models have this same 4-bolt cover? Someone told me that maybe a TO-20 or 30 would be the same...and possibly a MH 135? Help! John W.

You are right, Marcel - the drawbar has to be locked to allow the left control to operate a remote cylinder.

Without the second remote cylinder attachment, the left lever acted either as a switch valve to turn the right lever on or off, or to lift and lower the lift arms. In the neutral or center position, the three point controls should work normally if the internal linkages are adjusted orrectly.

With the system in the 35's and 65's, the oil flow decreases as the lift arms are raised. With the arms in the full up position, there is almost no oil flow available for remote operation.

For this reason, the arms and drawbar should be secured as low as possible. There is a factory kit with two bars (like sway bars) from the 3-point drawbar ends to the top link attachment point, holding the drawbar about 12" off the ground. This also allows the drawbar to be used for normal pulling. These were about 5/16 x 2 strap, with appropriate bends at each end. Easy to make.

Kind of mickey mouse, but works. The later systems had a mod allowing constant pumping, which sort-of overcame this problem.

Hope this helps.

John - Don't know about the earlier ones, but the 35, 135, 65, 165 and later models have the mounting holes/cover for attaching the loader.

We had trouble with the 35 and 65 spindles breaking, however, because of the load on the front end. The later models have heavier spindles/axles to handle the unit.

Our #32 is a good heavy loader, sold with the industrial model 30 and 40, both of which have even heavier axles that the agricultural models.

QUESTION,

Is a Massey Harris 35 related to a Massey Ferguson 35 ? (I know nothing about Massey Harris).

And where sits the pto clutch, is it an outside equipment for the loader pump, or....?

Please tell me if not to much trouble.

Bill
