I have recently bought a TE 20 and am intrigued by the PTO operation. On past Fergie tractors I have used the PTO lever has 3 positions....OFF, driven by wheels or driven by engine with foot clutch in or out. My TE 20 PTO has only 2 positions...OFF or PTO being driven only when foot clutch is out. Is this operation correct or is there a problem? I am wanting to rotovate in vewry tight areas and obviously need to be able to slip the clutch in order to complete the work. Thanks. Jason

Over run clutch will not help you one bitt, forget spending the money, you need a live PTO to do what you are wanting to do, you cannot do it with that tractor, to fast a ground speed in low gear, to do that type of work a auxilary transmission was designed (none to be found) that would lower your ground speed while keeping the PTO speed up, What you used before would have been a 6 speed tractor with live PTO, a 35 or newer, the 20 or 30 were before live PTO was developed, on the 6 speed first gear was slower. Over run clutch was designed for mowers with blade inerthia to let you stop without the mower pushing you into the creek or tree, the tiller would not have that, luckey to have enought power to even spin it in the ground. 4' max., the tractors you were used to had 10 more PTO horsepower as well.

You will probably need to use an overrun clutch on your PTO drive shaft.
