Ken sent this question last week:"Is the 95 the same as a minnie mo gb? How many HP,are they rare? Would like to get any info I can on this tractor. Thanks Ken"
I pick up my books last week end :
Well, you are right, the MF-95 seems to be a MM GBD. The MF-95 Super is a Gvi as reported by Allan.
Paraphrased from Lester Larsen's book(Farm Tractors 1950-1975), on page 87 :
"In 1958, MF obtained a large tractor from MM. This tractor was sold as the MF-95 in Canada only(some of these tractors may have come back over the border). Later the model designation was changed to MF-95 Super. Except for sheet metal, paint and decals, these tractors were basically the MM models GBD and Gvi". The MM GBD was tested at Nebraska, # 568 and MM Gvi was # 792.
Paraphrased from Michael Williams' book(Massey Ferguson Tractors) on page 96 :"The first batch of MF-95 tractors was sold in 1958 and sales increased to about 700 a year before a replacement model, the MF-97, was introduced in 1961".
Summary of GBD test # 568, from LL book, page 36:
1955-1959
62.78-55.44 hp @ 1300 rpm
425.5 cid, 6 cyl.
5 forward gears, 2.7 to 14.7 mph.
13.44 hp hr/gal, 8170 lbs. Regards

Can anyone tell me where I could find some manuals for a massey 95? Any help would be greatly appreciated, oh, and a price for one that is in great shape would be appreciated as well.
