I bought a NH 851 round baler that requires 540 rpm pto speed. The only tractor I have with a 540 pto is my mf65 gas. Will this tractor handle it?

great thing about round balers is, they are less torque dependant machines..... than square balers

ie

if it grunts just change down

with the square bale machine, if the material is heavy, its real hard to pack the back of the bale, i found the more hp the better shaped bales i could get

that is my personal experience, what i found,

we are going to run a vicon 1281 (can make up to 6ft bales) with our 165 this summer in silage (greenish grass), as well as another vicon 1281 with either our fiat, or our 285

we have 2 balers, and small paddocks, so we not in hurry! but we can cover the area quicker if required
