Hope big dean sees this. lost his address. About to attempt to repair my hyd pump, the 3ph wants to drop at low speeds after it warms up. Any guidance is greatly apreciated. My next project is my brakes. Need a good parts manual and a prayer.

I've lost Big Deans address also. I changed out my hyd pump a bit ago. Have you checked the releive valve to verifie that was not the problem? Do you have the book for this tractor? It would sure be worth the money. Changing the pump is no big deal if things go as the book states. On my tractor someone used some pretty tough sealent on the PTO shaft so I ended up having to split the tractor but you shouldn't. If I can answer any questions from the book drop me a line.

Mike,

Does your 3pt. also not want to lift after warmup except under full throttle? What year tractor, Gas or Diesel, 3 speed tranny or Multi?

The older tractors did not have a filter for the pump. As one might assume, some of these might have had the same fluids since the day they were built. I had about an inch of hardened muck in the bottom of my case.
Just went through my hyd. system, had the same problem. Here is what I found. The pump itself was shot, piston badly scored, rings gone, orings brittle. As for the lift cylinder, walls, piston and rings all badly scored, thereby allowing fluid by at a high rate.

M-F has a pump kit available that has everything needed to rebuild the pump for around $220.00. Lift cylinder if needed $100.00, piston and rings about $60.00. Can get you the #'s if you want.

Hope this helps.
