Does anyone know what color the Chrysler engine in
the 1938 MH 101 Super was painted when new? Thanks for the help.

In 1938 they didn't make a "Super". That didn't happen until 1939. The same tractor was sold as a "101". The super designation was added in '39 when the "Junior" came on the market. This tractor is fairly rare (1686 RC & STD). It should have a police - badge - looking emblem which I can send you info on directly (e-mail pics) if you want. The lettering doesn't have the "super" But I'm not sure if the "Twin Power" sticker should be larger or not... I think it's probably splitting hairs... Let me know if you want pics of the hood emblem and best of luck in your restoration - ALAN
PS the original engine was black
