I have an old MH 44 / 6cyl., NF. It's been sitting out on the farm for years, and was parked working. Can someone tell me where to find the serial number, as well as a little about these tractors and their 6cyl.Thanks in advance.

It sounds like you've caught the bug. If it has a 6 cyl then it's not a special but a "44-6" they made less than 7000 of these with the F-226 Continental. (My cousin found one in a barn) The're a good running and good looking machine. I believe that other than the motor, the parts are the same as a regular 44. The s/n should be on top of the tranny casting. It's a hand stamp and usually gets covered in dirt & grease. It was also originally on a tag on the left frame 12"or so in front of the clutch pedal. Post it and someone will help or you may be able to look it up on the SERIAL NUMBERS link to your left and down. Good luck - ALAN
