I noticed when I was running my MF35 the other day that the tranny oil was bubbly on the dipstick. The oil is new Permatran or TDH type stuff and is clean, but the old stuff was entrained with water when I changed it, and I even poured oil through the tranny and out the drains until it came clear to be sure all the water was out. It's stored indoors and has not been wet. Is a little bit of bubbles a normal thing? The 3ph works fine.

Randy, foaming hydraulic oil can be caused by pump cavitation due to a clogged strainer.

I have had the same problem with the new type oils used today. I have came to the conclusion that these bubbles are small air pockets that form from the movement of the oil. Saw a article several years ago where oil companies were using additives that cause the oil to form small air pockets. The purpose of the air pockets were to trap moisture and float the moisture (water) to the top of the oil level where it would evaporate. Water is much heavier than oil therefore it settles to the bottom. These pockets acted as drying agents. Air conditioner units use a similar methhod to remove moisture. After some use you should notice a decrease in the bubbles. Good luck!!!!
