Do you need power steering for a front loader?

Is it reasonable to add a front loader to a MF 35 without power steering? Would you want to add power steering and/or a front loader? Thanks

I have a MF40B Industrial with loader, and it has power steering, One drawback, like mine is when the Power steering has problems. I need to replace the seals on the cylinders, but when they are faulty, you have basically no steering! I'm sure it's better than manual steering, at least until the power steering goes on the fritz! I do know that I couldn't live without the loader though. Good Luck!

I have a FE35 with what I think is a MF industrial loader on the front. Steering is heavy and would definitely suggest a good warm up of your muscles before using the bucket. My local tractor man adjusted the toe-in so the front wheels point inward. It has helped. Also I find with anything heavier than soil (I have been moving large rocks) the front wheels look as though they would pop.

As my only tractor I also find it somewhat inconvient having the extension to the front. It makes it difficult to direct in tight situations.

Having said all that - I couldn't live without my FEL.

I have a MF35 Deluxe with a loader and no power steering. It is a little hard to turn, though not impossible. Power steering would be a definite advantage but adding this feature on after is too costly. I wanted a tractor with a loader first; and decided to live without power steering.

No, not if you have a really good "armstrong" setup.

I have a MF135 Diesel with a loader. The steering is heavy as expected, but not excessively so in my opinion. The biggest difficulty is that it has no traction unless a weight is attached to the rear linkage. It is not difficult to lift the rear off the ground whilst trying to lift a too heavy load.

Alberta. I have a TO35 with a front loader and no power steering. I think that this combination stinks. Forget that the tractor was not designed for a front bucket, you now have 1000 # plus setting on the front end. Even unloaded they are hard to steer. With a heavy load it becomes almost impossible. Hence, broken steering arms. Been there, done that. My bucket now sits in the shop collecting dust. My .02 cents

I have a MF 35 w/ loader and power steering and a MF 65 w/o loader or power steering. both tractors work fine but the loader is almost too heavy for the 35- it broke one of the cylinders so now the steering is great in one direction and rough in the other. the 65 w/o power steering steers really good for manual, but might be a little hard with a loader but it would be better suited size-wise for a loader. brakes work well, I just use them if I need extra turning power.

My son has a Massey 333 with an aftermarket front end loader (bucket and blade) and I've always been amazed at how well it steers, even when the bucket is loaded. I've heard that a guy needs power steering but certainly not on his, it works fine as it is.
