I have a TO-35 with a standard motor that has a serial # SDM 182887. My timing seems to be off after replacing the timing chain. When putting the new chain on I assumed the front cylinder was #1. After installing the timing chain I blew the head gasket from overheating and now after a complete rebuild still do not believe the timing is right. I read in my Massey manual that the "W" port on the injector pump is suppose to be hooked up to #1 cylinder. When I looked at my tractor I found the line coming from the "W" port went to the back cylinder. Can someone help me out? The lines can not be mixed up without alot of work becuase of the way they are bent.

I just checked mine and the block shows #1 cylinder in the front of the eng. I have a SGM 174743 1957 (from the ser# listing) it lists the firing order as 1-3-4-2. Hope it helps....
