Zack, looks like you got some good answers from Bob and Chris!

I would like to add,
a lot of times leaky main seals are also a good indicator of excessive bearing wear.

If you work this tractor, you may want to pay close attention to the crank shaft end play when you are installing the seals, these tractors with dual clutches really eatup the thrust bearings, which in return will cause uneven wear on all the crank journals and even the wrist pins and ring wear can be effected in the worst scenario.

Our mf 135 is begining to leak at the rear main seal, and will be rebuilt this winter with a tad over 5000 hrs on the last major overhaul, good luck to ya.

Hard to say exactly what the source of your leaks especially over the net. The front leak is likely a front seal which is only as big a problem as you want to make of it. As long as the leak is manageable, it is only in the nuissance category. Kind of the same thing for the rear leak. This could be from one or both of two sources. First source is from the engine rear main seal. With the diesel engine this is easy to tell because the oil will be black like your crankcase oil. No big deal as long as you don't mind the drips. The other source is from the front transmission seals. I've changed four of these before and they are really no big deal either but they do require splitting the tractor. The best course of action is to wait on these until some other maintenance offers the opportunity to fix these leaks while you are doing other things. For example, if you happen to have clutch problems and have to split the tractor anyway, you might as well replace these seals.

The front seal is easy to replace by removing the crank pulley, the seal rides on the pulley shank OD. You may find a groove worn in the pulley where the seal runs. I sleeved mine when I replaced the front seal. You will need a puller for the front pulley as it has approx 1" engagement on the crank. The rear leak as the other post said may not be a big deal as long as it doesn't contaminate the clutch linings. I replaced my rear crank seal when I had my tractor split for a clutch rebuild. You can replace the seal without dropping the crank but you can't get to the bolts until you pull the engine to bell housing adapter (splitting the tractor). Hope this helps
