I just purchased a 65 Massey-Ferguson tractor and need some info as to parts availability. My local Massey dealer in south Georgia says that most parts for it are obsolete except for the Perkins engine parts. Does anyone know where i can get parts for everything else like lift or transmission or steering or rear-end?

I agree with the other post, if you can get it from one of the advertisers here, or elsewhere online you will come out better money-wise. I don't know how far south in Ga.you are but I live 15 miles south of Atlanta and my local MF dealer has been great about getting parts for my 1963 MF35. MF has a separate catalog called the heritage line for older MF tractors. It may be worth giving another MF dealer a call.My local dealer is Outdoor Power Equipment in McDonough Ga. phone #(770) 957-3370 Fax # (770)957-0859 WWW.outdoorpowerequip.com hope this helps!

Your dealer is most likely incorrect. You didn't mention a model but assuming an MF35 or MF135, Most parts are available at the dealer. While most dealers have most of these parts but you can get them cheaper most of the time on the net. I get mine from either Mikes tractor parts or Walts tractor parts. There are also some online catalogs with links on this web site. Just search the web for mikes tractors and you'll get the site and their catalog. You can get nearly anything you need.
