Adding Hydro to MF 65 LP?

I recently discovered that my MF 65 LP was low on Hydraulic fluid and found the entry screw under the seat but whenever I try to add Hydro it acts as though it is full. I can see hydro when I look into the hole and when I try to add any it just fills up the hole and spills over the top. I've tried all manner of gear and lever settings and can't find the manual anywhere, could someone point out my folly? thanks.

What you found was probably a breather. The fill plug should be next to the shift handle ( to the left when sitting on the tractor ). It should be a large ( approx 2" ) plug. Make sure you are using the correct oil. According to the I&T Shop manual you should be using SAE 90wt in summer and SAE80wt in winter. Check with your local MF ( Agco ) dealer to make sure. If the oil hasn't been changed in a couple years, now would be a good time to change it.
