I'm trying to convert a MF65,1960, from factory LPG to gasoline and I'm having heck. Put on a TSX,I think 605 carb. Runs fine with choke fully closed but thats the only way. It has a Continetal engine on it. Could anybody out there give me any ideas on what to do. Need this tractor here on the ranch to drag a fence waygon, if I don't get it going I'm going to be picking up cans on the Highways.

I think Mike is on to the problem. It sounds like the carb. you have either has a plugged idle circuit or not enough idle circuit delivery in it's current design for your tractor.

If that's not the case, I'd start looking for leaks in your intake manifold.

I have a MF 65 Tractor. It has the continental Z176 engine. You indicated that you have installed a TSX 605 Carb. I believe the correct carb would be a TSX 695. If you use this carb you should be able to get it to run correctly. If you need the carb settings let me know and I will look in my service book.

Hope this helps you out.
